Kerinne Jenkins is a Sydney based writer/director whose award winning work spans across a range of new and traditional media.
A Masters graduate from the Australian Film Television and Radio school, Kerinne began her career working in the British film industry where she was mentored by director Paul Andrew Williams and producer Ken Marshall. She worked alongside them on a number of their feature projects from development to cinema release, beginning with the BAFTA winning LONDON TO BRIGHTON.
In 2011 Kerinne returned to Australia and has since collaborated with artists such as OKENYO, WAFIA, DAN SULTAN and THE HARD ACHES. While also creating online content for clients such as OGILVY PR, HONEYWELL, KENNARDS HIRE, VIRIDIAN GLASS, BAILEY NELSON, SENIORS CARD NSW and more.
Her latest short film CATTLE was selected for the prestigious Accelerator Lab at Melbourne International Film Festival in 2018 and continued its festival run having its North American premiere at Denver Film Festival and NSW Premiere at the 2019 Flickerfest.
While PRECIPICE (3 x 20 min narrative podcast) will see its national release through Virgin Airlines and their award winning in-flight entertainment service in early April, 2019. Made with 3D sound and described as ‘cinema for the ears’ it is the first of its kind to be written specifically for this medium. PRECIPICE was showcased at VIVID 2017 before it was presented at RADIO DAYS; VIENNA in 2018.-
Kerinne is constantly pushing to create an immersive cinematic experience in any medium, while keeping a grounded naturalistic tone to her take on the science fiction genre.
She is currently in development on a number of projects including the sci- fi thriller CLONE and a dystopian television series THE DIVIDE.
