Kerinne Jenkins is an Australian/English filmmaker based in Sydney.

Kerinne has recently completed her Masters in Screen Arts at AFTRS, where she made a 20 minute proof of concept science fiction short film ‘Cattle’.

During her time at AFTRS she was commissioned to write and direct a Binaural podcast, ‘Precipice’, as part of an AFTRS industry research project and will be working on the subsequent series as well as directing a number of segments for the schools latest YouTube pop up event.

In 2014 she was selected for the Raw Nerve program, making the short film 1919 with John Howard and Matilda Ridgway, and in 2015 had her project The Divide selected for the Platform X program run through the Australian Writers Guild.

Kerinne’s work focuses on creating very personal female stories and family relationships set within science fiction worlds. She loves to push for naturalistic performances and realism juxtaposed against heightened scenarios of alien encounters and dystopian futures. While developing a number of traditional style narrative works, she is also working on creating sequence of virtual reality experiences.
